On June 10th it is free fishing day in Nevada.

I know I try to utilize this blog as an informational blog for inexpensive/free things to do in the Las Vegas Valley and some things are nationwide, but I feel the need to also inform the readers of other options that I come by even though they might cost more. Mom Meet group sampling of Melt Probiotic Spread

I was given the opportunity to sample with a group of moms Melt Probiotic Spread. I found it at Sprouts Farmer's Market. We tried it on some yummy muffins, whole grain bread, and a baguette. The muffins' flavors over powered the spreads flavor, not that there is one, but it was great to spread onto the crumbly muffins. It was easy to spread and is a great alternative to butter. Everyone that tried it liked it, even the kids. I don't go to Sprouts often so I can't say I'd buy it instead of the butter I buy now because it's not offered where I usually shop. If it was sold where I usually shop I would consider purchasing it instead of what I currently buy. This is some of us trying it.

Spintales Storytime Rug

In April I had the chance to try out a new product from the company SpinTales. They have a rug that is in a jungle setting and a duvet that is a castle setting. Along with those products there is an app that allows parts of the rug or duvet (depending on what you have) interact with the user. It is a fun rug and the stories on the app are cute, the main pitfall is the app and the rug doesn't always sync together. To activate the app you have to match a picture on the rug. We would match the picture on the app to the spot on the rug and the interaction did not always work. That can be frustrating as a parent reading the story and even more frustrating for a child trying to read it themselves. The app does not cost any extra which is good, but the cost of the product one would expect the app to work with the pictures every time and not at just the right angle and zoom. We tried it with different devices thinking that could have been the issue, but it wasn't. I am still going to use the rug and app and it will be part of a story time at an indoor play place. I am hoping the children will enjoy it as much as the children that got to see it at the party did. Kaskey Kids Figures

In February I hosted a party for a major sporting event. For that event I was chosen to host a Kaskey Kids party from Trayzon. I know it's May now at that was months ago, I wanted to post sooner, however my computer bit the bullet and still needs to be fixed. I'm using my husband's for now and it took me that long to get used to it. I got a lot of figures to put out as decorations and have the children play with. My children aged 4-14 all enjoyed playing with the figures. The only thing  my children missed with the figures is a loose football. I put the figures on my 7 layer dip and a cake. Those that came to the party got to take home their own box that had either 1 or a surprise of 2 figures. I did get the figures free to use and write a review. I'm not sure I would buy these products on their own unless they were requested by someone to use as a decoration.
