More events for the first week of May & free sites on the Strip

I'm glad those who read my posts will comment and add to the information and events. One reader mentioned that this week is the Science and Technology Festival. It is a fun event to go to and is free. My son was part of his school's Rubix Cube club and got to compete at the Expo last year. His school was 3rd place in their division. The Science And Technology Expo is a big event on Saturday May 7th and it's from 10 AM-5 PM at Cashman Center. Here is the Facebook event page

I also had a friend share on Facebook something that can be seen at one of the casinos for free and it is a Mermaid swimming with fish at the Silverton Casino. Here is the Mermaid shows times

While looking for the aquarium info I did find that every Wednesday at their Sway Pool they host Wine Down Wednesdays where you get free entry and 2 free tastings of wine from 6 PM-8 PM. On Mother's Day the Silverton is also having the Las Vegas Craft Show from 10 AM-5 PM

The Flamingo has real flamingos and you can see them for free

Sam's Town off the strip has it's Mystic Falls with nightly laser light shows and their shows start at 2 PM, 4 PM, 6 PM, 8 PM, and last show at 10 PM.

We can't forget the Fremont Experience where there is a canopy with light displays and different stages along the street with free concerts. This link seems to have good information, since the street has many different casinos along it and it is a street it does not have it's own website, but I believe there is a Facebook page.
