More events for the first week of May & free sites on the Strip

I'm glad those who read my posts will comment and add to the information and events. One reader mentioned that this week is the Science and Technology Festival. It is a fun event to go to and is free. My son was part of his school's Rubix Cube club and got to compete at the Expo last year. His school was 3rd place in their division. Here is the link  my friend shared so you can see all the events going on, as there are many
The Science And Technology Expo is a big event on Saturday May 7th and it's from 10 AM-5 PM at Cashman Center. Here is the Facebook event page

I also had a friend share on Facebook something that can be seen at one of the casinos for free and it is a Mermaid swimming with fish at the Silverton Casino. Here is the Mermaid shows times While looking for the aquarium info I did find that every Wednesday at their Sway Pool they host Wine Down Wednesdays where you get free entry and 2 free tastings of wine from 6 PM-8 PM. Here is the link for that
On Mother's Day the Silverton is also having the Las Vegas Craft Show from 10 AM-5 PM

There are many free shows in Casinos in Vegas.
The Flamingo has real flamingos and you can see them for free

The Bellagio has the fountains out front and their conservatory

There are street performers in the Venetian's Grand Canal Shoppes

Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops has a rain storm by the V Theatre and a fountain show.

Caesar's Palace Forum Shops has moving statues.

The Mirage you an see some of Seigfried and Roy's white tigers on your way to their Secret Garden.
Plus the volcano in the front of the hotel and casino.

I've heard Circus Circus has performances as well.

Sam's Town off the strip has it's Mystic Falls with nightly laser light shows and their shows start at 2 PM, 4 PM, 6 PM, 8 PM, and last show at 10 PM.

We can't forget the Fremont Experience where there is a canopy with light displays and different stages along the street with free concerts. This link seems to have good information, since the street has many different casinos along it and it is a street it does not have it's own website, but I believe there is a Facebook page.

There is Ethel M's cactus gardens that are free to tour and the chocolate factory

There is M&M World and Coke World next to MGM Grand

There is also Hershey's Chocolate World in the New York New York Hotel and Casino

If I'm missing anything free that you would like me to add feel free to comment.
