I was selected by Tryazon and Pixicade to host a Pixicade back to school party. I was excited and hoping to have a better turnout however having gatherings even at home have gotten tricky. We ended up having two gatherings one at my house on my porch and one at a soda shop.
First what is Pixicade? It is an app that can be downloaded to play games on. There is an accompanying box set that can be enhanced by the app. The box set comes with 3 books to draw in, 2 sets of washable markers, stickers that can be added to the drawings, 30 activities, & 16 game templates. Here is the back of the box.
You use the codes to be able to upload your games that you created.
The first thing to do is download the Pixicade app. Next scan the QR code that is inside the box. That is the part that I got confused about. I was trying to scan the QR code on the back of my box. When I figured that out we started playing. My two sons found they could play against each other and they did. Each colored marker matches something in the games so you have to consider that when creating your games. The black marker is surfaces that don’t move like the ground or areas of a maze. The red marker is used for obstacles that prevent you from getting to what you want. The green marker is used to make your player, what you move to get through the game. The blue marker is used for items to collect. The purple marker creates items or lines that can be moved. There are eight game modes that can be created and played. One is getting the goals, another is maze making. Then there is super slingshot and hole in one. Brick breaker and bumper run are the last of the single player games. The two player game modes are volley versus and paddle battle. Here are more photos of the gatherings
My thoughts are this is a great product and the more played the more my kids will enjoy it. It can be fun for many ages too. I like the pictures turning into actual playing games. Here is a link for 25% off of the purchase https://www.amazon.com/gp/mpc/A1HYZ2I6BS8ROY
