Santa's coming before Thanksgiving

I was seeing what I wanted to do with my children this weekend and saw that two places are having their Santa arrival parades on Saturday. All the outdoor movies have stopped for the fall/winter season and next weekend there's more Christmas tree lightings and Santa arrivals.
Ethel-M Chocolate Factory will have the Catus Garden lights lit starting the 14th on November and Santa will be there 5PM-9PM.

I've realized a few things in doing this blog, one I am not as consistent as I would to be, two the links I put on the blog posts don't always work on phones, three the way I type the post doesn't come out the same on the blog wall, which makes me a little sad but oh well, and fourth as much as I would like to say this blog is for others I've realized it's for me. I use the links and look at the blog to try to plan things to do with my kids, when I don't update it and look at it on an iphone I can't find what's happening as easily as I would like. It also makes it easier for me to try to plan fun play dates for my kids with my friends and their kids. It also gives me a way to include everyone of my friends without feeling like I'm being pushy by texting them calling them, messaging them, or even e-mailing them every time I find a new activity. I refer my friends to the blog and hope they look at it and use the links on the side.

Movies around town and other fun things

This last week of June, more inexpensive or free movies start.

Wednesday:
     Two Regal theaters have the Regal Summer Movie Express where you get into a kid friendly movie for $1 and the movies start at 10 AM. If going to these I would suggest trying to be there early since it is an indoor event that makes it more appealing during the hot summer days. They show the same two movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The first theater is The Colonnade Stadium 14 on 8880 Eastern Ave, this one is the closest for Henderson residents. The second theater is The Village Square Stadium 18 on 9400 W Sahara. Both theaters play the same movies as the other, different two movies each week though. St Patricks Day

Next weekend is St Patrick's Day weekend, also my birthday weekend. Of course as many people know I enjoy scoring free items. Whether I win a prize or am a member of a rewards program or even just hear about something going on like National Pancake Day. So I'm going to share my thoughts on the places I go to celebrate my birthday. There are many birthday specials out there

Has a list of some places I wasn't aware of and some that we don't have here in Vegas. Most places you need to sign up for their e-mails or their e-club or their rewards club to get a birthday freebie. So if you have a restaurant you enjoy eating out at check their website and sign up for their e-mails and during your birthday month you could get a special treat, some places give you half birthday coupons and some on the anniversary of you becoming a member of their loyalty club. Most things through e-mail need to be printed, unless the e-mail says you can show your e-mail from your phone.
Arby's sent me a coupon for a free regular roast beef with the purchase of a small drink (or larger). Yes I had to buy something, but it wasn't as much as the burger and it's something I like. That was their gift to me for my anniversary of being part of their e-mail list. For my birthday from Arbys I get a free small shake with a purchase of something, not as great as the sandwich, but something.
Rubios' is another restaurant that I am part of their e-club Beach club and for my birthday I got a meal worth up to $7. With that I was able to get a taco plate and a drink.
Red Robin you get a free burger of your choice for your birthday. You need to be part of their Red Royalty club which includes a card, however if you've lost your card they can look you up using your phone number or e-mail. When you first get your card and register it you get a free appetizer (I believe) that you can get within 14 days of registering you card. You also get a free 10th burger if you purchase 9, your 10th is free.
Chevy's is a fun place to go to celebrate your birthday, they give you a Happy Birthday Sombrero and a free entree of your choice. I enjoyed my birthday there last year that I plan on going on my actual birthday this year.
IHOP gives you a free Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity (or something of equal value)
Denny's you get a free Grand Slam
Baskin Robbins you get a buy one get one free, they also do half birthdays
Ben & Jerry's gives you a free small scoop

Well I haven't posted in more than a month, but I also haven't had any complaints about it.
