Movies around town and other fun things

This last week of June, more inexpensive or free movies start.

Wednesday:
     Two Regal theaters have the Regal Summer Movie Express where you get into a kid friendly movie for $1 and the movies start at 10 AM. If going to these I would suggest trying to be there early since it is an indoor event that makes it more appealing during the hot summer days. They show the same two movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The first theater is The Colonnade Stadium 14 on 8880 Eastern Ave, this one is the closest for Henderson residents. The second theater is The Village Square Stadium 18 on 9400 W Sahara. Both theaters play the same movies as the other, different two movies each week though.       Rave Cinemas at TownSquare has a FREE Family Film Festival Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10AM. It is the same movie both days with a different movie each week. This week's movie is Cats & Dogs The Revenge of Kitty Galore

         Cinemark Theaters started their Summer Movie Clubhouse two weeks ago on Wednesdays and you can see the movies at 10AM for $1. This week's movie is Kung Fu Panda 2. There are more than one CineMark theater doing this.      Bass Pro Shops Family Summer Camp every Saturday and Sunday 1PM-4PM and Tuesdays and Thursdays 2PM-4PM until July 15th. Thursday's craft is a catch and fish game. The workshops are between the times listed for the days.All is FREE to do.

Evening Under The Stars at Centennial Park at 7:30 PM Thursday, June 28, 7:30 p.m.Families will enjoy live music provided by the School of Rock Las Vegas West and a fun Old West-style melodrama provided by Bonnie Springs Ranch. There will be food available for purchase from Pop’s Philly Steak.

The City of Henderson's Libraries have their summer reading kickoff Saturday morning at 9:30 AM at the Paseo Verde Library. You can register your children for the summer reading program, the kids earn different cool prizes at different levels of  amount of time they have read.
